The renowned entertainment giant, Caesars Entertainment, is venturing into the Mexican hospitality industry with a lavish new resort in Baja California. The Caesars Palace Luxury Resort, a substantial $200 million endeavor, will feature 500 opulent rooms and suites, providing unparalleled dining, entertainment, and wellness amenities. Visitors can indulge in a state-of-the-art fitness center, rejuvenating spa, invigorating tennis, and challenging golf, or organize gatherings in the expansive 40,000 square foot conference area.
This calculated expansion follows Caesars’ recent collaborations for two non-gaming resorts in Dubai. The corporation attributes a notable 40% surge in air travel from the US and Canada to the Baja California area over the preceding three years as a primary catalyst for this investment.
Construction is scheduled to commence in the initial half of 2019, with regional real estate developer Grupo Questro spearheading the development. Upon completion, Caesars Entertainment will oversee the property, generating income through licensing and management charges.
Mark Frissora, President and CEO of Caesars Entertainment, emphasized the company’s strategic direction, stating that introducing the iconic Caesars Palace brand to Cabo San Lucas demonstrates their dedication to expanding their non-gaming holdings in prime international destinations.
In a significant stride towards international growth, Caesars Entertainment is venturing into Mexico, underscoring the company’s expanding global footprint,” a company representative stated.
Echoing this perspective, Eduardo Sanchez Navarro Rivera Torres, CEO of Grupo Questro, remarked, “Collaborating with Caesars to introduce this legendary brand to Cabo San Lucas fills us with enthusiasm. Caesars enjoys global renown, and we are certain that this opulent resort will become a cherished haven for travelers worldwide.”
Adding fuel to the rumors of additional expansion, Australian news sources have reported sightings of Steven Tight, Head of International Development for Caesars, convening with tourism authorities in Queensland’s Gold Coast area. These gatherings imply that Caesars might be considering Australia for its upcoming integrated resort endeavor, representing a substantial new market for the enterprise.
