Allwyn, an international lottery powerhouse, announced robust financial results for the third quarter, driven by its latest purchase of Camelot, the entity responsible for running the UK National Lottery.
Although overall income surged by 98% year-over-year, this remarkable growth was primarily attributed to incorporating Camelot’s financial data. Excluding Camelot’s numbers, Allwyn’s revenue actually experienced a slight decrease of 1%.
Despite this fundamental dip, Allwyn’s Chief Executive Officer, Robert Chvatal, conveyed contentment with the company’s achievements, emphasizing the strategic value of the Camelot acquisition. Allwyn effectively assimilated Camelot within a brief period, establishing a foundation for upcoming expansion. The firm is now strategically placed as a dominant player in the worldwide lottery sector.
Allwyn experienced a phenomenal third quarter in 2023! Their earnings surged by 98% year-over-year. This remarkable expansion is driven by the exceptional performance of their current markets, and naturally, the prosperous acquisition of Camelot UK earlier this year has been transformative.”
“Examining the initial nine months of the year, they have already generated €5.7 billion in total revenue, with a profit of €2.6 billion. That’s an astounding 98% rise in revenue and a 43% leap in profit compared to the corresponding period last year. Even excluding the Camelot acquisition, their revenue still expanded by a commendable 7%, and their profit climbed by 8%.”
“Although the sector overall has encountered some obstacles this quarter, Robert Chvatal, CEO of Allwyn, expressed immense pride in the advancements Allwyn continues to achieve. He conveyed confidence in their trajectory toward a highly successful 2023.”
